How to Overcome Physical Obstacles?

I have read a sentence from the internet: “In a huge city, we are all looking for happiness. What is the taste of happiness?” The lovers go from acquaintance to love, and finally marry and build a family; in the future, having a child which completes family happiness. This should be happiness. However, There are some people, even if they fall in love and build a family, they still can’t conquer the physical to complete happiness. How could they overcome physical obstacles?

Overseas Treatment and Seeking Professional in Taiwan

I met this couple in the clinic surprisingly. Although I met other LGBTQ couples a lot, they usually consult about how to export sperm or eggs abroad (USA most). This couple came to consult on the IVF issue. It turns out that they have found a reproductive center in Cambodia and will do IVF there. The reproductive center in Cambodia, which has many professional people from China, and they have no problem with conversation. However, everything was unfamiliar to them, they were trying to seek professional opinion in Taiwan.

The 39-year-old wife had poor ovarian function. AMH was less than 1. The process at the first center was fairly smooth, but the result was disappointing. She didn’t succeed in pregnancy. The feeling wasn’t very good, so they changed to another reproductive center, and the results of subsequent embryos were surprisingly good! At this age, the average embryo chromosome normal rate is less than 30%; the doctor told her that the three good-looking embryos not only have two AA grades, but also both embryos’ chromosomes are normal! Both of them were quite surprised.

So they came back to Taiwan to ask for professional opinion, discuss the possible reasons for the first failure, and how to prepare for implantation in the future. Since having good embryos both inside and outside is already at least 70% success, the mother's problem should be ruled out first to prevent an unsuccessful pregnancy. It is also because the endometrial thickness has not been thick enough before, so it is suspected that the endometrial implantation window may be delayed. It is recommended to perform the ERA test. As expected, the result showed a day later (144 hours) than normal for the perfect time for transplantation.

Taste of Happiness

Before leaving Taiwan, I asked them to face the future results peacefully. Whether they succeeded or not, after all, they already put in a lot of effort. They went to Cambodia with my blessings, and I was in Taiwan waiting for the good news. A month later, the two came to the clinic with smiling but nervous expressions. Not only have they confirmed that they are pregnant, but this time they are here to confirm the heartbeat of the fetus. At that moment, I thought it would be an unforgettable scene in a lifetime. The couple heard the sound of the fetus's heartbeat, tears in their eyes have quietly flowed down, and it turns out that the smell of happiness is like this!

Two month ago, their name suddenly appeared on the consultation list in the office, and I was worried about whether something went wrong. As soon as the couple entered the clinic, they brought their cute little baby and presented a glass product made by themselves to express their gratitude to me. It really made me feel very happy. In the past, the patients who succeeded in my hands were all involved in my hands-on experience, designing treatments, examinations, egg retrieval to implantation and getting pregnant smoothly. This is the only couple who succeeded in using only my brain and mouth but no hands. Purely with a willingness to help others, "I am happy when others are happy" mentality, and hope that they can enjoy happiness as soon as ordinary families do, that is, "home with children is the warmest"!
