Time flies, our daughter is now already 2 years old. The experience of seeking a child in Taiwan is still vivid. Three years ago, as an elderly woman, I have experienced many Chinese and Western medical treatments and IVF treatments in China but still no egg available. We have lost our faith and almost gave up.
However, looking at the expectant eyes of our parents, we were not reconciled to give up. In China, an egg donated is even more difficult to obtain. It is almost impossible to obtain eggs legally without waiting for several years. Illegal donation programs are very expensive and without any medical protection. So we basically put this thought away.
Meet Fertility Clinic in Taiwan
Fortunately, we knew Egg recipient programs are legal in Taiwan through serendipity from the internet. We were happy to seek more information. After searching and comparing, we made a phone call to Stork Fertility Center, the consultant patiently replied to us many questions and professionally explained much information for us. She really gave us a lot of help and confidence.
We always like to plan travel, so we bought tickets and did homework for the egg recipient program, but also to see the Stork Fertility Center in Taiwan. With an attitude of giving it a try, we embarked on a journey.
We have been attracted by Taiwan’s scene and culture. But the first mission “Stork Fertility Center” which is located in downtown Hsinchu, is easy to find. The building is not quite big with a hospital in China, however, it’s not crowded but very nice service. The warm reception and professional explanation made me feel like a warm and comfortable hotel instead of a hospital. Meanwhile, the consultant showed up and arranged our process. We saw the dean and knew the procedures about the recipient program. We went through all the processes, broke all the hesitations, and relaxed to travel. With limited time, we only went to Taipei and Hualien, then ended this trip reluctantly. What's more, we really got a good impression with Taiwan and Stork Fertility Center with all the culture, surrounding, and service.
Preparing Treatment
After returning to China, we prepared for the treatment according to the guidance of the Stork Fertility Center. We adjusted our body and mind to the best condition for the egg recipient program and IVF treatment and anxiously awaited the pairing information. Surprisingly, within a month, we got the information about the successful pairing. Excited, we hurriedly transferred the money for the treatment. And is ready to welcome the re-entry to Taiwan.
After a month of conditioning, we boarded the plane to Taiwan again three months later. This time we will welcome the arrival of new life. The elegant environment and enthusiastic reception staff really make us forget that this is a professional hospital and forget that we are here for surgery. Of course, a wonderful travel plan was also made. After finishing the collection of sperm, we went to Kaohsiung and Kenting respectively. The waves on the beach are so beautiful; Taiwanese delicacies make people linger. On the third day of the trip, we received the good news of the successful embryo culture from Stork. Finally, five blastocysts formed, which means that we are about to undergo implantation. This result delights us who have been waiting for years for a child. Seeing the beautiful scenery, tasting the delicious food, and preparing for a new life all are wonderful memories.
Missed the best time for implantation
According to the time required by the treatment, we ended our trip and returned to Hsinchu to prepare for implantation. Although it was a bit of a twist, we accidentally missed the best time for implantation. The endometrium becomes thicker, which made us very worried. But the intimate comfort of the consultant, the professional skills of the doctor, and the sophisticated equipment of the hospital, still made this implantation very warm and considerate.
The counselor continued to care while returning to China to wait for the pregnancy result. When we got the good news of a successful pregnancy, we were still excited by the thoughtful service and professional attitude of the Stork Fertility Center.
