Found the problem of infertility
My husband and I met, fell in love, and decided to start a family together. We didn't have any pre-marital check-ups until a few years after we got married when we were ready to get pregnant and have a baby. My husband was diagnosed with azoospermia by a doctor when he was in Hong Kong. We were so sad that we can’t have our baby. Although my husband didn't have any reaction, I believe he was very sad after knowing the result. I love him very much and therefore I have never dared to tell him my feelings directly.
In my life, when I hear friends or relatives announcing that they are pregnant, of course, I wish them well and feel happy for them, but there are many nights when I cry non-stop because of it, and it hurts me a lot. But couples always have to support each other to go on, in one night I confessed to my husband everything hidden in my mind, I originally thought his reaction would not be good, but he said: "Nowadays, the medical treatment and medicine are very advanced, we can ask someone to donate sperm, the baby as long as there is your genes will already be our baby.
Began a journey to Stork
This journey wasn’t as long as I thought. My husband searched for information, and found “Stork Fertility Center in Taiwan” He said the name gave him a sense of meaning in his life. So we mailed the center and didn’t wait too long to receive a reply. I filled out the form about our condition and what we were going to have the treatment for. On a weekend morning, the staff called me and explained in detail the cost, the procedure, and the documents I needed to prepare, among which there was a marriage certificate that I had to prepare in Hong Kong, they also suggested that I could have a blood test in Hong Kong to check my AMH. Luckily, the result of the blood test was very good for my age, which gave me a lot of confidence.
After my husband and I prepared all the necessary documents, we planned to go to Stork in Taiwan during the holidays to see the doctor for the first time. The doctor arranged my treatment based on my situation. When choosing between the two courses of IUI and IVF, he understood my condition and future fertility plan and suggested that I go directly to IVF. I originally wanted a faster treatment and didn't want to wait any longer because of my age. After the visit, I returned to Hong Kong with the necessary injections and medications. What differs from the IVF treatments I have known in the past is that the entire treatment is very flexible and can be arranged according to my holiday plans. After arranging everything, when my menstruation came, I notified Stork to start preparing for the treatment. I took a long-acting ovulation injection on the third day of menstruation, and I didn’t have to do anything for about five days in between. This also surprised me. The treatment was not as painful as I imagined. After the follow-up, the doctor's evaluation, and three short-acting ovulation injections, the egg retrieval time was decided (triggers were also given two nights before the egg retrieval). A total of only 6 needles were used to complete my treatment. Thank God Father prepared everything for us. My husband and I feel thankful.
Well-Prepared and Success Once
On the day of egg retrieval, a total of 14 mature eggs were fertilized and eventually developed into 10 blastocysts. For the baby’s health, we decided to have a PGT-A examination. At that time, we decided to send three blastocysts for testing. The test results showed that two normal blastocysts could be prepared for transfer. After a month of rest, I started preparing for the transfer. The transfer process is also relatively easy. When menstruation comes, prepare to take medication for a week and then do an ultrasound to check the thickness of the endometrium and have a blood draw. After the numerical evaluation is normal, can prepare for transfer. This time I transferred two embryos and got pregnant successfully. Although there was bleeding in the early stage, one blastocyst implanted and a heartbeat was confirmed in the end. I am so grateful that I can become a mother. I am so thankful that I have met all the staff at Stork. They make me feel safe and confident during the treatment. In the month before I was due to give birth, the consultant continued to care for me. She was very happy for me when she saw that everything was well with me.
Interestingly, When the baby was born, we discovered how wonderful it was. We thought the baby looked like me at first, but later people around us said the baby looked very much like my husband. We all know that all this is not easy to come by, so my husband and I are touched. The baby is healthy and everything is normal. Now we are eager to take the baby home every day after work, hoping to get home as soon as possible to see the baby. Although taking care of the baby is very hard, it is still very happy and enjoyable.
