Gave birth after 12 years of egg freezing – what are the benefits?!

When you make the right choices, good things will come your way! Freezing your eggs, for example, can empower you with confidence and beauty. And with time, love might just be waiting around the corner. The same goes for choosing the right clinic — freezing your eggs in the right place can help you maximize the rewards. The longer you freeze, the greater the gain! Make the right move, and good things will follow!

Guess what? What's the world record for the longest time between egg freezing and a successful birth?

The answer: 14 years and 6 months!

This Guinness World Record was set by a couple in Argentina back in 2013.

The woman underwent medical egg freezing, meaning she froze her eggs not by choice, but out of medical necessity — to preserve her fertility due to illness.

iVie's Issue 56 cover story features Ziling, who is likely Taiwan’s longest case of a successful birth using egg freezing.

She froze her eggs at age 31 — would you have considered doing the same at that age?

And more importantly: Would you keep them frozen for 12 years without giving up?

In 2011, she froze 10 mature eggs at Stork Fertility Center in Taiwan.
In 2023, those eggs were shipped to the U.S., thawed, and used for IVF.
And in 2024, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, weighing 3,600 grams.

Congratulations to her for becoming a joyful mom at 44! Her journey was so incredible, it felt like a real-life Mission Impossible!

It’s not about following trends. It’s about foresight.

In 2008, Stork Fertility Center became the first in Taiwan to introduce “elective egg freezing”, also known as “social egg freezing”.
The original motivation was to address the issue of Premature Ovarian Failure (POF), by encouraging women with low ovarian reserve — specifically those with an AMH level below 2 — to freeze their eggs early as a precaution.

Although Taiwan’s Assisted Reproduction Act was enacted in 2007, legally permitting egg donation, the cultural reluctance around egg donation meant supply was extremely limited.
For many years, recipients often faced wait times of 1 to 2 years just to receive a donor egg.

Women of advanced age with poor ovarian reserve had little choice but to undergo repeated cycles of egg retrieval and embryo transfer — often enduring multiple failed attempts, emotional and physical exhaustion, and significant financial burden, sometimes until they had exhausted their resources.

To promote egg freezing, we established iBIOLOVE BIOTECHNOLOGY INC. in 2011, with a focus on providing comprehensive and personalized fertility planning services.
Our role has always been that of a trusted consultant — offering both expertise and emotional support throughout the fertility journey.

Over the past 14 years, we have helped more than 5,000 individuals complete their egg freezing process.
In the early days, fewer than 100 cases were recorded annually. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, we entered a period of rapid growth, now assisting at least 1,000 clients per year.

We are honored to have earned the trust of both domestic and international clients, especially those from China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore, where demand continues to rise steadily.

Ziling, our recent success story, was one of the early beneficiaries of this journey.

The true “egg freezing bonus” comes from picking the right timing and the right clinic.

When it comes to egg freezing, the most practical question is: “What’s in it for me?”
Beyond gaining calm confidence, the biggest benefit is the “baby-making bonus.”

If Ziling hadn’t frozen her eggs and tried IVF at age 43, according to Taiwan’s Health Promotion Administration, the live birth rate is only about 6–7%.
This means she might have needed 15 cycles of egg retrieval and embryo transfer to have a chance at becoming a mother.

At an average cost of NT$150,000 to 200,000 per cycle, that would amount to approximately NT$2.25 to 3 million.
In the U.S., the cost would be astronomically higher.

By contrast, her egg freezing cost just NT$100,000 initially, plus NT$96,000 for 12 years of storage, and NT$100,000 to 150,000 for thawing, fertilization, and embryo transfer.
The total was under NT$350,000 — a difference of 6 to 8 times less.

Her “egg freezing baby-making bonus” saved her nearly NT$2 million.
The longer you freeze, the more you earn!

Do the right thing, and good things will come!
For example, egg freezing can help you radiate confidence and beauty, and with time, you might just turn the corner and find love.

Choosing the right clinic matters too. Freezing your eggs in the right place can help you maximize your rewards.

So, what makes the “right place”?
Of course, it’s a clinic with a high live birth rate (or graduation rate) for IVF, and one that regularly publishes trustworthy performance reports on their official website (for reference, see the Stork Fertility Center’s graduate success chart).

Other important factors include a certain scale of operation, safety, convenience, and sustainable management — all of which should not be overlooked.

Beyond cost-effectiveness, we offer you peace of mind. Stork Fertility Center helps you create happiness.

As Ziling mentioned, Stork Fertility’s egg freezing fees have remained unchanged for over a decade.
Considering inflation, this actually means a price reduction. Our sincere intention is to make egg freezing affordable for everyone in need.

So, don’t just compare prices — instead, use a magnifying glass to evaluate value for money and potential returns.

If you’ve already frozen your eggs but lack confidence in your current clinic, we welcome you to transfer your eggs to Stork Fertility.
We also offer custody and management services to help you maximize your “baby-making bonus.”

We feel truly honored to have accompanied Ziling on her 12-year journey of happiness, witnessing the miracle she created.

We sincerely thank the entire Stork Fertility and iBIOLOVE BIOTECHNOLOGY INC. for their unwavering dedication to creating happiness.

It’s a blessing to have you by our side on the road to parenthood through egg freezing!
